20cm of Snow Thurs Night

The easterlies continue! We've received a further 20cm of wind and temperature affected snow overnight, adding to the 10-15cm we received in the past few days. The mountain is looking great after the top up, and it's definitely nice to be skiing on fresh snow again!

I can't say it enough, and this season has been even more so: "If it's horrible weather in town, chances are it's perfect up the the alps!". With all these Southeast, and even Northeast weather cycles we're experiencing, it's very likely that you'll wake up to rain on the roof in town, while up here at Porters, the weather is perfect. Get in the loop - check our site for the latest conditions from the hill - including webcams that will show you exactly what's happening.

I have some shots from yesterday on the hill. There was some good snow still on offer, although Weds definitely was the day (missed out dam it). The new snow on the lower mountain was certainly a little heavier and wet compared to what was up above, but hunting out the good stuff was easy.

Light cloud in the valleys - epic on the ski area.

We've now had a further 20cm overnight, filling in the tracks, and blanketing the mountian in white again. The snow quality will be variable, as the North/East airflow has meant fluctuating temps, but fresh snow is fresh snow. The weekend is looking good, fresh snow and clearing weather. More info coming soon from the hill, we'll keep you posted.
